Perry's Cafe & Deli is a classic Atlantic City breakfast spot that fits seamlessly into the neighborhood vibe of Pacific Avenue. This family-run diner operates daily from early morning until mid-afternoon, making it a reliable choice for locals and visitors craving a straightforward, hearty breakfast or lunch without the usual tourist frills.

The atmosphere at Perry’s is no-nonsense and unpretentious, reflecting a genuine working-class charm common to New Jersey diners. It’s the kind of place where regulars and visitors mingle quietly over breakfast plates that aim to satisfy rather than surprise—you won’t find flashy presentations here, but you will find a menu stocked with comforting, familiar fare like fluffy crab omelettes, Philly cheesesteaks, and generous stacks of pancakes.

If you’re seeking value, Perry’s delivers with well-priced plates like giant blueberry pancakes and all-you-can-eat eggs alongside classic sides such as home fries and fresh fruit bowls. The coffee is strong and steady, ideal to fuel a busy morning or a slow, relaxed midweek brunch. The staff tends to be welcoming and efficient without being overbearing, creating a casual, relaxed pace that suits early risers and laid-back afternoons alike.

This spot is particularly well-suited for those who want to avoid the tourist-heavy casinos and resorts nearby. It’s popular with locals who appreciate straightforward, no-frills breakfasts, especially during quieter times of the year when Atlantic City’s usual hustle slows down. Arrive before the mid-morning rush to enjoy a seat without waiting, and expect a steady flow of regulars grabbing a slice of traditional diner fare — from scrapple and corned beef hash to stuffed French toast.

While some menu items may be classic diner staples, there’s enough variety to keep breakfast and lunch interesting, including options like Mike’s famous chicken souvlaki and chorizo and cheese croissants. The kitchen tends to favor traditional preparations; for example, steak and eggs are done well enough but won’t stray far from classic seasoning and cooking styles.

Overall, Perry’s Cafe & Deli stands out as a dependable, working-class breakfast spot in Atlantic City. It’s best for those who appreciate comfort food, a relaxed yet unpretentious atmosphere, and a break from the typical tourist scene — a genuine slice of local dining that gets the morning essentials right.

We spent over a week in AC during the December slow season and went to Perry's for breakfast our first morning -- then we kept on going there every day for the rest of our vacation, because they were just that good. Perry's is an unpretentious diner, the kind NJ excels in. They make absolutely no effort to cater to tourists, which is exactly the way we like it. If you're like us and prefer to avoid casinos and the Boardwalk, you'll find Perry's refreshingly outside the bubble while still being centrally located. Everything we had was reliably good, came in generous portions that usually resulted in leftovers, and I don't think there's anything on the menu over $15 or so. Staff were super nice and remembered us after a few days. It's officially our go-to breakfast spot in AC and may it never change.

The best breakfast I’ve had in Atlantic City! The price was also a relief from the overpriced casino and resort prices. 10/10

Perry’s Café is a true Atlantic City gem! I had the crab omelette and scrapple, and it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The omelette was fluffy, loaded with fresh crab, and seasoned perfectly—every bite was delicious. The scrapple was cooked just right, crispy on the outside and tender inside, exactly how it should be. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere had that classic, cozy diner feel that makes you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. If you’re in Atlantic City and looking for a hearty, flavorful breakfast, Perry’s Café is the spot. Five stars all the way!

Perry's Cafe & Deli is a family-run diner located on Pacific Ave. They are open every day from 7AM - 3PM. After looking over the menu, I found myself torn between breakfast and lunch. There were so many tempting options to choose from! I went with the 7 oz sirloin steak and eggs. It was decent, but nothing special. The steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare, and it lacked seasoning. My friend ordered the hot jumbo biscuit with homemade sausage gravy and the pastrami Reuben, both excellent picks. The gravy was some of the best I've had, and the pastrami on the Reuben was tender and full of flavor. Our server may not have been the most personable, but she was prompt and made sure we were well taken care of. Pickup and delivery are both available.

Came here with my family during our stay at AC. Very welcoming and friendly place. We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Server was friendly, fast, and personable. Nice breakfast menu with a lot to choose from. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs. Big portions and very tasty. Priced just right for what you receive!
